What is Eeco Ambulance?

An Eeco Ambulance is the perfect vehicle to provide healthcare assistance and services to the ones in need at the right time. The Eeco Ambulance is compliant with the National Ambulance Code and is designed with the motive to provide assured and upscale amenities to patients on board who need urgent assistance in their health.

In Udupi on 11th March 2022, the Owner of Bhima Gold Private Limited handed over an Eeco Ambulance to famous social worker Nithyananda Olakadu at their showroom. Nithyananda Olakadu is the recipient of the "Corona Senani" award presented by Prajawani newspaper this year. Nithyananda Olakadu has worked consistently to assist, rescue, and protest against injustice. Nithyananda Olakadu also took the drive to raise awareness for Coronavirus to the next level in Udupi.

At the event, Additional commissioner Sadashiva Prabhu who was also speaking on occasion mentioned the generosity extended by Bhima Gold Private Limited. He said, "During the pandemic, people were afraid to touch the Covid positive corpses. We have witnessed many families abandoning those corpses at the mortuary in the district hospital. But Nithyananda Olakadu has done a great job and is beyond his limitations. He came forward and performed the funeral rites to many such unknown corpses. I have seen his social service. Now Bhima has given more strength to his service, supporting him to do more noble works."

Further, Vishnusharan Bhat and Raghavendra Bhat (Deputy Manager) at Bhima Gold Private Limited in Udupi also gave their views. Vishnusharan Bhat said, "This is the happiest moment of my life as we are supporting Nithyananda after he approached us regarding the urgent need for an ambulance. We agreed without a second thought. He has been serving society for many years. Moreover, this is my native place. We have contributed an ambulance under our CSR funds. We have been helping needy families."

Sharmila S (Udupi District and Sessions Court senior judge), Pramod (Sub Inspector), Abdul Khadar (Traffic SI), and Dr. Madhusudan Nayak (district surgeon) were present to grace the occasion.
